Personal Data Privacy Policy
This Personal Data Privacy Policy (“Policy”) applies to all information that the nonprofit initiative Global Alliance for Human Potential (GAHP) may obtain about a user while they use https://gahp-project.vercel.app/.
1. General provisions
1.1. By using the GAHP website, the user accepts this Policy and the personal-data processing terms described below. A user who does not accept these terms should not use the website or register.
1.2. This Policy applies only to the GAHP website. GAHP does not control and is not responsible for third-party websites that users may visit through links available on the GAHP website.
2. Personal information collected by the website
2.1. For the purposes of this Policy, “user personal information” includes:
- Information supplied by the user in student or volunteer registration forms, including full name, email address, age, telephone number, country, language proficiency, professional expertise, work or study experience and motivation letter.
- Information automatically transmitted to GAHP services while the website is used, including IP address, cookie data, browser information and access time.
- Volunteer lesson reports, lesson dates, duration, assigned group, attendance confirmations, and consented photo or video evidence submitted for administrator verification.
3. Purposes for collecting personal information
3.1. The website collects and stores only the personal data needed to provide GAHP educational and volunteer opportunities:
- Identifying the user within the system and providing a student or volunteer account.
- Communicating with the user about participation in GAHP programs, English, German, French and Chinese tutoring, mathematics and university-admissions support.
- Providing feedback and support and processing applications.
- Improving the website, its usability and future educational tools.
4. Processing and disclosure to third parties
4.1. GAHP stores personal information in accordance with its internal procedures and security requirements.
4.2. User personal information is treated as confidential unless the user voluntarily makes that information publicly available.
4.3. GAHP may disclose personal information to third parties in the following circumstances:
- The user has consented, for example, to sharing data with a program coordinator or volunteer tutor.
- The disclosure is required to provide a feature or service requested by the user.
- The disclosure is required by applicable law.
4.4. GAHP uses Firebase Authentication and Firestore for accounts and structured records, Cloudinary for protected lesson evidence and reviewed media, Vercel for website hosting, and Gmail for transactional messages. These providers process only the data required to deliver the applicable service.
5. Updating or deleting information and withdrawing consent
5.1. A user may ask GAHP administrators to update or supplement any personal information they have provided.
5.2. A user may withdraw consent to personal-data processing at any time by emailing the website administration. The user account and associated data will then be deleted subject to applicable legal requirements.
5.3. A lesson report in its original form, including evidence media, comments, learner details and review feedback, is retained for no longer than two years from the lesson date. After that period GAHP deletes the evidence and personal report detail while retaining only the minimal approved-hours ledger required for long-term volunteer-hour totals and issued-document verification.
6. Cookies and browser storage
6.1. Essential cookies and browser storage are used for secure authentication, consent choices and account preferences. Optional technologies are enabled only after permission. See the Cookie Policy or reopen Cookie Settings from the footer.
7. Changes to this Policy
7.1. The website administration may update this Privacy Policy. A new version takes effect when it is published on the website unless that version states otherwise.
